Vinyl Factory UK: 99 Records & reissues of my Launderette/PrivateArmies... Rough Trade roots ... memories/futures made of THIS...

My personal zeitgeist-o-meter has been trembling as my (early 80s) first solo record, "Launderette/Private Armies,"  is currently bubbling on media screens... first off, in UK's Vinyl Factory piece on 99 Records, who released it over here (I put it out on my own Window Records with Rough Trade in the UK...)... the other VF  availed themselves of a lengthy piece that ran in a 'zine called Tuba Frenzy, and added their own Gallery of images....

... then Randall Roberts in the LA Times singled out Private Armies (P.A.) Dub as an "Unsung classic" in his review of my mate and producer Adrian Sherwood's ;atest re-issue compilation, "Sherwood at the Controls (Vol. 1)"......

... and to cap the moment, the Independent celebrated the contribution of some formative Rough Trade possee, Jeannette Lee & Geoff Travis...  I was touched by quick mentions that flew me back  to a birthday dinner right around Launderette time, in a certain Thai resto off Piccadilly Circus... one night really can change people's lives... and music can do amazing things when it springs from community...
